I have been named as a faculty member with the Shanti Yoga Teacher Training School. The school, located in Idaho, offers certifications in five Yoga Alliance registered tracks – 200 & 300 Hour Certifications as well as Children’s and Prenatal Specializations. Idaho Counseling Association 2016 Annual Conference on Neuropsychology and Counseling
I received the 1st place Certificate of Excellence for my poster presentation to Mental Health Counselors on Yoga as a Treatment Modality for Trauma at the Association's 2016 annual conference held in Boise, Idaho.
Research by Bessel van der Kolk and David Emerson on the use of yoga for the treatment of trauma is exciting and is bringing yoga to the forefront of treatment protocols for trauma.
